ANVIL CHORUS (San Francisco) Classic Bay Area metal !

http://www.myspace.com/anvilchorussf

I have been feeling happy like I'm a small child who found a dollar in the street! Why?
The legendary ANVIL CHORUS from San Francisco have finally released an album after like 20 years!
This is heavy metal, progressive metal, nwobhm, and a hint of thrash metal all thrown in together. Their classics "Blue Flames" ,"Death of a Dream","The Blade", "European" etc etc were finally released September, 2009 on their "The Killing Sun" cd on Rockadrome (pretty cool, the label Rockadrome threw in some free stickers and are very quick in shipping).

Here are all their demos/live tapes/and a rehearsal I grabbed a few years ago, maybe you will see why I am freaking out.
The cd sounds way better than these, so if you like the songs, just imagine how much better they sound with a stellar production, with the cd blaring from your stereo.

Still having problems

Either my computer, my Internet Service Provider, or the sites that store files like made with WinRar, are giving me problems since Saturday.

I'll post something though in the near future, at least some links of cool stuff I have been digging.

Upcoming posts

I have several movies from the early 1970s, and some 1980s that will be ripped into avi files.
The ones from the 1980s will be post-apocalyptic B movies which may not be available on movie blogsites (found the rare soundtrack album to one out there which I could not believe, as I did not think it deserved one, but what do I know!)

yes, I ripped all my Donny & Marie albums.
so far, I have them as sides 1 & 2 in 320 mp3's and FLAC, but some have a little surface noise, ticks, and pops, so am unsure to post just yet.
Some will be bitchy and say how dare I, and to clean them up.
When I try Audacity it seems to make recordings sound dull. If I try CoolEditPro, I get an echo which I can't figure how to turn off.

More than likely I'll just chop the mp3's into proper song lengths and leave them as is. I am going to guess there are some out there that do not mind too much they are NOT sterile like a compact disc.

Other stuff might include the second LP by The Monks-"Suspended Animation" (as I read elsewhere that some find it hard to get, was a Canada only release?), some 1970s artists Mary Hopkin, Melanie, The Stampeders, Split Enz discography, Gerry Rafferty, etc... I doubt I will rip the Donny Osmond solo LP stuff. There are a few cool tracks on every album, but man, the main reason I grabbed those from used record stores or thrift shops/ garage sales was to complete the Osmonds LP discography, and I stopped once I had an idea how much there might be (this was years before wikipedia).

Osmonds,Quatro,the 1970s

I'm thinking of ripping all my Donny & Marie, and any other Osmonds vinyl, but guess I'll check first if others have already put them on their blogs.
No need for me to do unnecessary work.

Going through another mood of wishing the 1970s never ended and I could have grown older while it never changed.
